Jesus' real Presence in the Eucharist How Eucharistic Adoration is affecting lives in our Parish

Our parish has exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Monday from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. Some 110 parishioners have signed up to spend one hour with the Lord on these days. Here are comments of some parishioners.

"As a 'new Catholic', I am continually exploring and learning about all of the mysteries of my faith. Adoration gives me the opportunity to form a closer personal relationship with Jesus in a very peaceful setting. It is much easier to devote my full attention to Jesus without fear of any interruptions or distractions." Darryl Knaub (Convert 2002)

"Thank God this beautiful devotion has been brought back to us. I missed it so much. God gives us so much. Attendance at Mass is required but attendance at adoration before the Blessed Sacrament is a choice. God loves us so much." Josephine Gallagher (93 years old)

"I find it easier to focus on prayer and meditate on things that are occurring. I find more charity in what I am doing. I feel a peace and calmness when I am before the Blessed Sacrament."
 Tom McBride (Young adult)

"Going to adoration is my chance to spend intimate time with Jesus. It allows me to stop and think about what is really important in my life. Everything I have comes from God and I wanted to give something back to Him. The amazing thing is that I always receive so much more in return. No matter what struggles I came in the door with, the peace of Our Lord is always with me when I leave." Jennifer Simmons (Came back to the faith).

"Coming to adoration brings me closer to God. It gives me the quiet time I need with Him to praise Him, to worship Him and to thank Him for all His many blessings. It gives me the uninterrupted time I need to talk to Him and ask for His favor. It gives me peace. Gerry Fenza (Cradle Catholic)

"Adoration is a time of peaceful silence in the presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus. He is here with us, together and with each one of us at the same time. Being here brings peace to what usually is a rushed and hectic day. Our lives for the most of us are very busy and sometimes overburdened. Here I feel the peace and love of my Lord. More so, the next day I feel an inner peace love of Jesus is with me in my heart. It can sometimes be during an intense time at work. I seem to feel God's grace during the week when I am able to be here at adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. I grow closer to Our Lord." Mike Gallo (Young father)

"When we were asked to make a commitment to an hour of adoration during Lent, we said we would try it. Because we had a set hour it soon became something we looked forward to each Monday. Prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is very powerful for us and for all those we pray for." Joyce and Mike Wallcavage
