Grocery Program

DID YOU KNOW?

Other family members can purchase gift cards and have that full percentage applied to your child's tuition?  What they need to do is give your name when purchasing the certificates and give you the receipt they receive or you can purchase them for them.

The certificates are sold at the following places and times:

Monday through Friday home sales (watch Parish Bulletin for places and times.) NEW *****Tuesday Evenings at the Rectory from 5:15pm until 7:00pm**** Fridays during the school year in the Rectory basement, 8:15 am to 9 am. Sunday in Rectory basement from 8:00 am to 12 Noon.

The grocery program is a great way to practice stewardship without extra cost to oneself!  Participating stores sell gift certificates (Gift cards) to St. Francis at a discount.  The parish then sells the gift cards to parishioners at full face value thereby earning the difference as profit.  The cards are spent the same as cash at participating stores.  Parents of Catholic School students may have a portion of this profit applied to their tuition.  New this year, Religious Education students may also use this towards payment of their fees to Religious Education.  Also Catholic High School students may receive credits for gifts cards bought.  When you use the program you will give a check or cash for what you would like to purchase, then we will give you your gift cards and a receipt for your credit earned from the purchase.  Save all your receipts.  When you are ready to use your credit towards your tuition, you will hand the receipts that you have saved into the rectory; you then must wait to receive a credit voucher (through the mail).  When you receive the voucher attach it to your next tuition payment and deduct it from your check.

Example:  If you purchase two hundred dollars a week of Acme for 48 weeks, it would mean a three hundred and eighty-four dollar savings on your tuition.  ($200 of Acme @ 3% gives you a credit of $6.).

How do I get started?

It's easy to take advantage of the Grocery Program.  By being a member of the parish you are already enrolled.  To get started use:

HOME SELLERS: you can call the rectory and get the names of the home sellers and place your order.  They will prepare your order and arrange a pick-up time with you.  Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm

RECTORY SALES:  Tuesday evenings from  5:15pm to 7:00pm; Fridays 8-9pm (during the school years only); Sundays from 9 to 11:15 am.

INTERNET SALES: You can e-mail us your order through www.schoolnotes.com.  Place your order and specify when you would like to pick it up (during Friday or Saturday sale hours).  Orders must be received by Sunday night in order to be filled for that Friday or the following Sunday.  Stores that can be preordered are listed on www.schoolnotes.com under scrip program.  The list is updated periodically.  TO view all stores in the program, go to www.schoolnotes.com, type in 19064, click on St. Francis then click on SFA Scrip Program.

You can continue to purchase from us when your child goes to high school or religious education and it can be applied to their tuition there.
